My Experience

I have been playing in a fantasy football league that has been around for 34 years. When this league started, the commissioner would take statistics from the Monday morning paper and do everything by hand. If they would have patented their idea, they obviously would have been very rich. However, they are just a group of old men whose lives revolve around fantasy football and NFL Sundays. I have been in the league for the past 7 seasons. The league that I play in is about as competitive as you can get. The entry fee to the league is $200 and every transaction, every trade, and every loss costs money. The pot can get quite high. The league consists of 8 owners and the top 4 get part of the pot. Over 7 seasons, I have finished in 1st place once and in the top 4 every year. In order to win, a lot of time goes into studying players, schedules, and bye weeks.
